This course is designed for people who have a good understanding of the most basic grammar and writing systems and want to further their skills in Japanese.

  • Have learned the most basic grammar including particles and verb conjugation previously. (If you are new to the Nihongodekita course, please take the placement test)
  • Are ready to put in work to have a stronger command of the Japanese language  
  • Are ready to beat the fear of speaking and see unprecedented growth 
  • Are willing to develop effective learning habits and strategies for long-term learning

▷ Course Details

  • Language: Instruction will be given mainly in English
  • Start Date: Early March, 2024 JST
  • Class Time: Fridays 10 am – 12 pm JST (Thursdays 5-7 pm PST)

  • Schedule: 120 minutes weekly (10 weeks)
  • Class Size: Maximum 25 – 30 students per class so that everyone can participate, interact, and ask questions in class. You can also attend office hours in between classes for further questions.

  • Prerequisite: You have completed the Japanese 102 beginner course at NihongoDekita previously or you have taken the placement test and were placed in Japanese 103.
