Our FAQs
1. What are the payment methods?
Currently, I am accepting Stripe payments and Paypal. You cannot use Paypal payments for subscription products. I am working to fix that soon.
2. Is there a specific starting date?
Yes, at the moment we announce our class opening using a waitlist system.
3. Is it lifetime access?
Yes, you will have lifetime access to all live class recordings and learning materials.
4. Can I gift your courses?
Yes! Simply purchase the course and then send me an email here [email protected] so that I can transfer your course to another person!
5. How long will the course take me?
We have courses with various lengths. Japanese 101 is 5 weeks, Japanese 102 is 8 weeks, Japanese 103 is 10 weeks, Japanese 104 is 12 weeks and Japanese 203 is 14 weeks.
6. Do you offer one-on-one lessons?
Currently, we are not offering any private lessons.
7. What if I miss a class?
All the classes will be recorded and shared with you so you can catch up and also review at your own pace.
8. How much time should I spend on learning before each class?
I recommend taking at least 30 minutes every day on vocabulary flashcards and working on homework that will be provided. Assignments are designed to help further your understanding and prepare you well for the next class.
9. How much is it for a course?
Japanese 101 Crash Course is $385 which includes 5 live lessons (120 minutes each), weekly office hours, fun and interactive assignments, online flashcards, access to google classroom and so much more!
Japanese 102 Beginner Course is $595 which includes 8 live lessons (120 minutes each) and other benefits same as the Japanese 101! We offer payment plan for this and upper levels.
Japanese 103 is designed for people who have a good understanding of the most basic grammar and writing systems and want to further their skills in Japanese. It is 120 minutes weekly (10 weeks).
Japanese 104 is designed for people who have mastered verb and adjective te-form, short form, and basic sentence building. It is 120 minutes weekly (12 weeks).
10. Do you have upper classes?
At the moment, I only offer beginner classes. (Equivalent level to textbook GENKI I, Minna-no-Nihongo I).

By joining the NihongoDekita Discord server and/or completing your purchase through LaunchPass, you (“Member,” “User,” or “Student”) agree to be bound by the following Terms of Agreement. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Access to the NihongoDekita Discord community is conditioned on your acceptance of these terms, as well as the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, you may not access the server.
2. Membership and Payments
Subscription & Billing: All memberships are processed via LaunchPass/Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize recurring charges (if applicable) for the subscription tier selected.
No-Refund Policy: Due to the digital nature of the content and the immediate access provided to proprietary learning materials, all sales are final. Refunds are generally not provided for partial months or "change of mind."
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your LaunchPass dashboard. Upon cancellation, access to the Discord server will be terminated at the end of your current billing cycle.
3. Intellectual Property (IP) Rights
Proprietary Materials: All Japanese learning materials, PDFs, videos, custom bots, and lesson structures provided within the Discord are the exclusive property of NihongoDekita.
Limited License: Members are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials for personal study.
Prohibited Use: You may not record, screenshot, download (for distribution), or share NihongoDekita materials with non-members. Any unauthorized redistribution or commercial use of our content will result in an immediate ban without refund and potential legal action.
4. Community Conduct & Japanese Learning Environment
To maintain a safe and productive environment for learning Japanese, all members must adhere to the following:
Respectful Interaction: Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or Japanese proficiency level is strictly prohibited.
No Spam/Self-Promotion: Do not post unsolicited links, advertise other Discord servers, or promote personal services unless explicitly permitted in a designated channel.
Language Etiquette: Please follow channel-specific guidelines regarding the use of Japanese (Romaji/Kana/Kanji) and English.
Academic Integrity: While collaboration is encouraged, do not use the community to cheat on formal exams or external Japanese language certifications (e.g., JLPT).
5. Privacy and Safety
Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of fellow students. Do not share screenshots of private conversations or personal information (doxing) outside of the server.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. NihongoDekita is not liable for unauthorized access to your account.
6. Termination of Access
NihongoDekita reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any member from the Discord server for:
Violation of these Terms of Agreement.
Non-payment or failed subscription renewals.
Behavior that is deemed disruptive to the learning environment. In cases of severe behavioral violations (harassment, IP theft), access may be terminated immediately without a refund.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
While we strive to provide the highest quality Japanese instruction, NihongoDekita provides its services "as is." We do not guarantee specific fluency outcomes or exam results. We are not responsible for technical outages caused by Discord, LaunchPass, or Stripe.
8. Modifications
NihongoDekita reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced in the #announcements channel. Continued use of the server after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
