Kon’nichiwa!
My name is Momoka. My journey into teaching Japanese began during my university years when I studied abroad in New Zealand. Sharing about Japan with my host family in English was a refreshing and enjoyable experience, sparking my passion for language education. Since then, I’ve been teaching Japanese online.

Born and raised in the historic city of Kyoto, I’ve always been fascinated by traditional Japanese culture. I love exploring temples and shrines, attending kimono lessons, and recently, discovering new cafes in Kyoto. Feel free to ask me anything about Kyoto!
Since September 2024, I’ve been working as a Teaching Assistant at Nihongo Dekita. In my private lessons, I enjoy engaging with students and prioritize conversation practice, alongside grammar exercises. I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of each student, welcoming learners of all ages and levels.
In my free time, I love traveling, dancing, listening to music (J-pop, K-pop, pop country), and I have a deep love for Disney, Studio Ghibli, and all things cute. I’m looking forward to supporting everyone in their Japanese learning journey and making it enjoyable for you!
